Investigation was made of growth and yield rice in response to different environments of irrigated rice varieties in paddy field at Klong Luang Rice Research Center during 2012 to 2013. The objective of this research was to correlate the effect of climate change on growth and rice yield. Five non-photoperiod sensitive rice varieties (Suphanburi 1, Suphanburi 2, Pathumtani 1, RD 29 and RD 43) were varied planting date. The results showed that 1) Increasing of the mean temperature, rain, humidity, wind speedy and the cumulative of sunshine per day will tend increasing height and number tiller of rice during sowing date to tillering stage. 2) Low temperature and lese of the cumulative amount of sunshine per day effect to the ripening stage was shorter... |

The effect of climate change on rice growth and yield had been studied during December, 2010 through March, 2012 at Chiang Rai Rice Research Center, Chiang Rai Province. Experimental design was split plot with three replications. Main plots were planting dates which designed to plant at monthly interval. Sub plots were rice varieties, consisting of Suphan Buri 1 (SPR1), and Suphan Buri 2 (SPR2). Planting method was pre-germinated seed broadcasting with seed rate of 15 kg/rai. The research found that planting in July was appropriate for both SPR1 and SPR2 variety in term of growth, growth duration and yield. Averaged plant heights were 136.4 and 122.3 cm with of SPR1 and SPR2 variety, respectively. The average yields were 827, and 678 kg/rai for SPR1 and... |

Objective of the present study was to investigate influence of transplanting methods, namely, parachute” and wet seeded culture, on growth, i.e., height and tiller number/bunch, incidence of disease outbreak, soil quality and yield of “Hommali 105” rice cultivated organically. Results showed that the transplanting methods played insignificant role on growth as well as the incidence of disease outbreak (p0.05). However, the “parachute” transplanting method led to higher tiller numbers/bunch and rice yield than that obtained with the wet seeded method, 27 against 5 tillers/bunch (p<0.05) and 1.7 folds, respectively. Further, during cultivation, soil qualities in terms of pH and content of organic matter, nitrogen and potassium appeared to be comparable... |
